Foxy Mail is a fast, private macOS mail client for everyday IMAP. Protection grades risky senders and links. Trust shows what the message is doing. Identity shows who really sent it.

Compression

Foxy Mail can shrink message bodies with ZSTD before they leave your Mac. When every recipient supports Foxy Compress, outgoing mail is packed automatically — less bandwidth, less mailbox bulk, same readable message on the other side. No zip attachments, no extra steps.
On top of compression, Foxy Mail can lock the body with AES-256 when each recipient’s public key is known. Encryption rides with the compressed payload, so content stays private between Foxy users — not only on the wire to the server. Capabilities and keys are learned from mail they send you; turn it on under Settings → Outgoing.

A display name is not proof of who sent mail. Identity lives in the Inspector: real From address and domain, Reply-To, Return-Path, and authentication signals (SPF / DKIM / DMARC from headers). Same-domain mail greys those checks as N/A when they never ran.

Protection uses HaGeZi domain lists (shared with FoxyFy DNS Filter and Foxy Browser when available) to spot listed sender and link domains. Hits raise the message grade — Clear → Review → Risky → Danger — not “Spam”.

A normal-looking email can hide a different Reply-To, deceptive links, tracking hosts, or QR payloads. The Mail Inspector sidebar shows what’s really in the message so threats and spam are easier to spot.
